UHI as you know it today, started as a simple cardiac clinic at Mulago Hospital in 1958. This journey began when we transitioned from a clinic to a fully-fledged facility i.e Uganda Heart Institute (UHI).

These services include Administration and Finance, Human resources management, Estates management, Office supervision, medical social worker and counselling, catering, security, hospital domestic services and waste disposal, Legal services, Procurement and disposal, Internal audit, Engineering Records and Information management, Planning, Stores, Supplies, Public Relations, Information Technology and Transport.

Human Resources at UHI

Human Resource Management (HRM) at UHI aims towards establishing a good working environment of all the employees right from recruitment to termination. HRM also serves to promote organizational culture, train Staff, and provide them a conducive working environment.

The HRM department is headed and supervised by the Ag. Principal Human Resource Officer who is answerable to the Executive Director, in a bid to ensure UHI goals are met.
