Mirembe Grace is the head of Public Relation at the Uganda Heart Institute – “ The global center of excellence in the provision of cardiovascular care”

Grace joined Uganda Heart Institute in 2017, Serving as the Institute’s Spokesperson as well as handling media relations, PR strategic planning,  managing the Institute’s Information Centre, and event support. Grace also serves as an Administrator for the Uganda Heart Association.

Grace has over 5 years of expertise in communication and corporate affairs. She is a proud member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) – UK, member of the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU), and an Executive Member of the Uganda Heart Association.

Grace has acquired training in several  Masterclasses on International relations, Diplomacy, communication planning, internal communication, crisis communication management, and research evaluation and measurement. She also has special training in transformational leadership development from the National Leadership Institute and vast knowledge in fostering governance for health and human rights in Uganda.

Grace holds a professional Public Relations Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) UK – and the University of Nairobi, a Post graduate diploma in Public Administration and Management from the Uganda Management Institute, and a Bachelor of Mass Communication Degree (Public Relations) from the Uganda Christian University. 

Grace started out her Communications career as a PR- intern at the National Fisheries Resource Research Institute in 2013. Before Joining Uganda Heart Institute, Grace was a video and sound editor volunteering with NBS Group of Companies (Jinja).

Grace speaks Lusoga, English, French, Luganda, Runyankole, and a bit of Swahili. She is passionate about everything communication, excellent healthcare, and helping people. Grace likes reading, making friends, and on a good day; dancing, traveling and watching movies.
