The Uganda Heart Institute‘s brand-new Kayoola Diesel Bus (2025), made by Kiira Motors Corporation, sets off on its maiden trip.
On board is the UHI team heading to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for a week long FREE closed heart surgery camp (Patent Ductus Arteriosus – PDA) for pre-identified, deserving children from Mbarara and neighbouring districts.
With its spacious and comfortable interior, the Kayoola Bus significantly improves our ability to transport comprehensive medical teams and equipment, allowing us to provide essential heart care services effectively to all regions of Uganda.
We are to leverage this Kayoola bus in our mission to decentralize heart care, ensuring that it is accessible and available to all Ugandans.
